Attention Deficit
Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is one of the serious psychiatric conditions found
in children in the preschool and early school years. It is characterized by
inappropriate level of inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity that is
present before the age of seven. A child with ADHD faces lots of difficulties at
home and school. It is hard for the young person to control his/her behavior and
impulsivity and pay attention. The helpless child might express his/her problems
to parents like �why am I different?�, �why am I called a troublemaker and
headcase?�, �why don�t I understand lots of things at school which are not
difficult to other children?� and so on. When to suspect ADHD? All children, to
a certain degree, will demonstrate restlessness, impulsivity (acting without
